Qualified for State of Michigan Competition

 

The top 102 teams in the state (out of 347 competing teams) qualified to compete at States on April 8-11.

Since competition took place during spring break, 3 of the 4 students (Gabe Raney, Andrew Lula, and Hunter Wiltse) from the original drive team could not attend state competition.  So, one original drive team member, Austin Smith, two new drive team members (Perry Beebe, and Joel VanBuren) and mentor Aaron Layos, as drive coach, drove Stack-O-Saurus to take 84th place in the competition.  Not a great rank at the competition but earned enough points to secure an invitation to the World Championship in St. Louis.
